Lauranne Noordam
MA (Candadite)
I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe to show up as you are—without judgment, pressure, or the expectation that you need to have everything figured out.
I offer a warm, collaborative space for adolescents and adults to explore their experiences, relationships, and emotions with curiosity and compassion, while working toward greater understanding, healing, and growth.
Note: Lauranne is part of Oakwell’s Emerging Clinician Program and is completing her clinical practicum under ongoing clinical supervision.
About Lauranne
I believe meaningful change can begin when we feel safe enough to be ourselves, explore what we are experiencing, and feel genuinely heard and understood. My approach to therapy is grounded in connection, curiosity, and compassion. I strive to create a collaborative and non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace, without feeling pressured to have all the answers.
I recognize that every person brings a unique story to therapy. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I work collaboratively with clients to understand their individual experiences, relationships, strengths, and goals, tailoring our work to what feels most meaningful and helpful to you.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic approaches, and Family Systems perspectives. I am particularly interested in understanding how our relationships, attachment experiences, and family histories can shape the way we see ourselves, connect with others, and navigate the world around us.

Exploring patterns shaped by past experiences and relationships
I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Theology: Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy at Wilfrid Laurier University and my clinical practicum with Oakwell Mental Health Services through Oakwell’s Emerging Clinician Program.
As an Emerging Clinician, I practice within the scope of my training and receive ongoing clinical supervision from experienced clinicians as I continue to develop my therapeutic skills. I am committed to ongoing learning, reflection, and providing thoughtful, ethical, and client-centred care.
Whether you are facing a specific challenge, navigating a difficult season of life, or simply feeling uncertain about where to begin, you don’t need to have all the answers before coming to therapy. My goal is to offer a space where we can slow things down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and explore what matters most to you as we work toward greater understanding, healing, and growth.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to explore whether I might be a good fit for you.
