I work with individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or emotionally drained; even when they appear to be managing well on the surface.

About Allyson

Many people I work with are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, or life transitions, and may recognize patterns they want to change but aren’t sure how. You might feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or disconnected, even while continuing to meet the demands of daily life. My goal is to offer a space where you can slow down, feel supported, and begin to make sense of what you’re experiencing.

I take a client-centred, collaborative approach to therapy, tailoring our work to your unique needs, goals, and pace. Using evidence-based strategies, I support you in developing a deeper understanding of your thoughts and emotions, while building practical tools to navigate challenges and create meaningful, lasting change.

I am committed to creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your experiences openly. Together, we will work toward strengthening self-awareness, increasing emotional resilience, and helping you move forward in a way that feels aligned with your values.

Many of the individuals I work with feel stuck, overwhelmed, or emotionally drained, even while continuing to manage the demands of daily life. You may be navigating anxiety, low mood, stress, or life transitions, and recognize patterns you’d like to change but aren’t sure how. My goal is to offer a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can better understand your thoughts and emotions, build effective coping strategies, and move forward with greater clarity, balance, and self-compassion.

I am currently completing my clinical practicum toward a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. As part of Oakwell’s Emerging Clinician Program, I practice under the supervision of experienced Oakwell clinicians who are approved by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and Yorkville University, ensuring you receive thoughtful, ethical, and well-supported care.
